More frame parts and a more relaxed outlook on tools

Having in the space of about two weeks decided I need to spend vast sums on tools, I have in the meantime done some more research and as a result become much more relaxed about tools. I think a band saw, or at least access to one is inevitable, but I think I should be able to live without a jointer. I have however purchased a second hand power planer (yet to arrive).

I also cut out some more frames with my ancient jig saw, I doubt it will last the distance, but I was ok with today's results. I was only cutting one thickness of frames today, and it worked ok. The trigger switch is failing so replacement will have to happen sooner or later.

Made another couple of boxes of sawdust with the thicknesser. The following photo gives you an idea of the piles it creates in a very short time. Its a bit hard to see, but that pile is about 60mm deep.

Also bought a honing jig for sharpening my plane blades, not finished sharpening yet, but have so far got the blade back to square.
